Yoga Nidra 02

A day workshop to explore one of the most loved and important practices in yoga.

Yoga Nidra is based on the practices of Nyasa, which belong to the system of Tantra. Yoga means union or one-pointed awareness, Nidra translates as sleep. Yoga Nidra is a state of deep relaxation with inner awareness. In yoga Nidra, the state of deep relaxation is reached by turning inwards, away from outer experiences. The mind and mental awareness are dissociated from the sensory channels. Yoga Nidra is thus a vital part of the cleansing process that is yoga.

We will examine:
          • History of the practice
          • Structure of the practice
          • Sankalpa (resolve)
          • Yoga Nidra as a Learning System
          • Relaxation and Yoga Nidra
          • Why the practice is relevant to life today

This workshop is suitable for students and teachers alike
