Sivananda Math is registered as a social and charitable society. It was founded by Paramahamsa Satyananda in 1984 in memory of Swami Sivananda Saraswati of Rishikesh. The aim of the organisation is to facilitate the upliftment of the weaker and underdeveloped sections of society, especially in rural areas. This is undertaken by following the precepts of seva (service), karuna (compassion), prem (love) and sneha (affection) espoused by Swami Sivananda Saraswati.
At present the activities of Sivananda Math span 21 villages and over 10,000 families in one of the poorest tribal regions of Bihar known as Santhal Pargana.
During satsang Swami Suryabindu will be available to answer your questions on the activities of Sivananda Math and share with us her experiences of working in the field. Visit the Sivananda Math website.
