Yoga Ashram was founded in 1986 by Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati to teach and propagate classical Yoga to all people without consideration of class, religion, race or gender. It was inspired by his guru, Swami Satyananda Saraswati, and the system of Yoga formulated by him.
The Ashram provides an ideal place to learn and practice Yoga and is dedicated to helping spiritual seekers go deeper in their experience of Yoga and their understanding of themselves. In this way it offers a positive contribution to improving the quality of life for the individual, family, and society.
It is an independent charitable institution that has close links with the Bihar School of Yoga and is accredited to the British Wheel of Yoga. It nestles in 25 acres of beautiful and isolated hill country in South Wales.
